Brad J. Leistner, 58, Jasper

Brad J. Leistner, 58, of Jasper, passed away at 4:28 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, surrounded by family at the Heart-to-Heart Hospice House in Evansville.

Brad was born in Jasper, Ind., on December 2, 1967, to Alfred and Vonda (Lemond) Leistner. 

He graduated from Jasper High School in 1986. 

He was a supervisor and worked in plant engineering at Memorial Hospital in Jasper for 30 years. Most recently, he was self-employed, owning his business, Leistner Variety Service.

Brad was also a lifetime musician, playing music since he was six years old.  He was in various bands over the years, starting with “The Wening Family Band” at 12 years old.

He previously was a member of the Jasper Outdoor Recreation, Ireland Sportsman Club, and the Jasper Moose.

Brad enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing Euchre, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by five children; nine grandchildren; his mother; one brother; and one sister, Joni Leistner.

Preceding him in death are his father, Alfred Leistner, and one sister, Sheila King.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
