Bonnie J. Hackmann, 61

Bonnie J. Hackmann, 61, of Birdseye, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born February 11, 1954 in Huntingburg to Alvey Levi and Anna Aileen (Wright) Gilmore.

Bonnie was a journalist and reporter for the Ferdinand News and was a member of the Birdseye Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew L. Hackmann of Jasper and Mark Hackmann; four grandchildren, Christian, Molly, Gabrielle and Sabrina.

Funeral services for Bonnie Hackmann will be held at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, August 28, 2015, at the Birdseye Christian Church in Birdseye with burial to follow in the Birdseye Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Birdseye Christian Church from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., on Friday, the morning of the funeral. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
