Bonnie G. Smith, 76
Bonnie G. Smith, age 76, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 12:17 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
She was born January 17, 1936 in Mommoth, Illinois to Wayne and Edith (Cline) Barron. Her family moved to Cave City, Kentucky when Bonnie was young and she grew up there.
On September 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to James Champion Smith at the Nazarene Church in Cave City, Kentucky.
Bonnie worked as a housekeeper at the former Medco Nursing Center in Huntingburg for close to 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingburg and enjoyed quilting, gardening and fishing.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her husband, James Champion Smith, who died February 21, 2007.
She is survived by:

By (5) grandchildren – Jake Harris of Evansville, IN; Nick Meyer of Jasper, IN; Cynthia Murray of Evansville, IN; Nathan Meyer of Jasper, IN; Breanna Smith of Jasper, IN; and (4) step grandchildren – Cody Yarnell of Illinois; Nathan Yarnell of Illinois; Tiffany Yarnell of Oklahoma; and Candace Houge of Tennessee.
Funeral services for Bonnie G. Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery (Huntingburg). Pastor Bob Borden will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday.
