Blueberry Crumble Recipe
Blueberry Crumble
Ingredients:
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 Tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 5 cups fresh blueberries
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup old-fashioned (whole) oats
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (not packed)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons unsalted chilled butter, cut into chunks
Instructions:
Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in large bowl. Add berries and toss to coat. Transfer berries to an 8” square baking dish. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add butter and mix until resembles moist crumbs the size of dimes. (This can be done in the food processor) I prefer to use my hands for this part to ensure the butter is well incorporated. Spread crumb mixture over berries. Place in a preheated 375-degree oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Note: you can use this recipe with the berries or fresh fruit of your choice.
