Blazey, 47, and his wife Darla are the parents of one daughter, Isabelle.  The family resides on Sapphire Drive. He has been associated with the Ripstra Law Office in Jasper for the past 23 years.

Blazey graduated from Heritage Hills High School in 1985 and the University of Evansville in 1989.  He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Dayton in 1992.

“As a mediator and attorney, I regularly listen to all sides of an issue in order to advocate effectively. This experience will be vital to my ability to represent the interests of the constituents who elected me in mind as I make decisions on government matters. I will always be available to hear their concerns and opinions. I will be the voice for the Third District.”

An avid supporter of youth sports, Blazey has been a youth basketball and soccer coach for the past 15 years in the Southwest and Greater Jasper School Corporations and is currently serving as the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach at Jasper High School.

“If elected, I will work with the citizens of Jasper and its leaders to ensure our city’s growth and economic prosperity so that my daughter and her peers and my current and former players want to come back to find success in their careers and raise their families here. I am fortunate to call Jasper my home and welcome the opportunity to serve.”

Blazey attended the 1988 Republican National Convention as a student representative working for the Indiana delegation.  He served as Chairman of the Dubois County Republican Party for four years and has been a member of the Dubois County Election Board.  Since 1996, he has served as the Holland Town Board Attorney.
