Blanche Mae Arnold, 89, Dale, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born July 20, 1927, near Lincoln City, Indiana to Frank and Lillian (Wahl) Sergesketter. She married Cletus Arnold on November 3, 1945, in Dale.

Blanche worked as a custodian at David Turner Elementary School from 1970-1998; was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale; and enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Arnold, who died in 1999; one son, Charlie Arnold, who died in 2010; and by brothers and sisters.

She is survived by five children, Patty (Mike) Perry of Kokomo, Larry (companion, Georgia Tretter) Arnold of Dale, Janet (Pat) Villines of Dale, Steve (Rita) Arnold of Washington, Ind. and Greg (Aimee) Arnold of Huntingburg; one brother, John (Dolores) Sergesketter of Dale; by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Blanche Mae Arnold will be held at 10:00 a.m. CST on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale with burial to follow in the Dale Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Fr. John Brosmer.

Friends may call for visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. CST on Saturday.  All public visitation will be held at the church the day of the service. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.
