Birdseye’s annual Park & Fire Department Picnic this weekend

The Annual Birdseye Park & Fire Department Picnic is this Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, at Birdseye Park.
Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the car show, games, halfpot raffle, great food and more while supporting the Birdseye Park and Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department.
Friday, the picnic opens at 4 p.m. with games for the kids going from 6 to 9 p.m. The cornhole tournament is at 6:30 p.m. Kings Ridge DJ starts at 7 and plays until 10 p.m.
Saturday, the car show is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The four-on-four basketball tournament and volleyball tournament both start at 9 a.m. Silly Safaris is at 10 a.m.
The Birdseye Library will have sand art from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kids games will be most of the day and a special foam party takes place at 11:30. The bubble truck starts up at 2 p.m.
A horseshoe tournament starts tossing around 1 p.m.
The Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department will once again be serving up its famous fried chicken dinners starting Saturday at 11 a.m.
The annual fest wraps up Saturday night with The Wildcards performing from 8 to 11 p.m.
