Billy Joe Evans, 70, of West Baden Springs

Billy Joe Evans, 70, of West Baden Springs, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Hosparus Health in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born on May 20, 1948, in Orange County to Paris Evans and Alvina (Hinkle) Evans Johnson.

Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bobby Gene Evans; and one sister, Betty Lou Reid.

He joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was a member of French Lick American Legion Post 76 and retired from Indiana Laborer’s Union #741, Terre Haute.

Billy Joe was an avid IU and Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by four daughters, Christie Livingston (Michael) of English, Stefany Hardin (Chad) of Jasper, Rachel Cummings (Cody) of French Lick and Melanie Evans of Fort Morgan, Colo.; one brother, James A. Evans (Cathy) of West Baden Springs; his dog and best friend, Tiny; and 10 grandchildren

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church, French Lick.
