Bill Martin, 75, Henryville

Bill Martin, 75, of Henryville, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg.

Bill was a 1960 Huntingburg High School graduate. He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1960-1963.

On October 5, 1963, in Huntingburg, he married Beverly A. (Heim) Martin, who survives in Henryville.

Bill was a retired truck driver. He worked for USF Holland for 12 years and Smith Transfer Co. Inc. for 17 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Henryville American Legion.

He is survived by two sons, William R. Martin Jr. and James Ralph Martin, both of Henryville; one daughter, Victoria (Michael) McMasters of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren, Ciera Jones of Pekin, Alexis Foster of Salem, Jade Jones of Jeffersonville, Dakota Martin of Salem, Shelby Jones of Jeffersonville, Conner Martin of Henryville, and Kayla Martin of Henryville; two great-grandsons, Abel Motsinger of Henryville and Alachi Wiseman of Jeffersonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph Chris Martin.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018, with Father Harry Tully officiating at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Henryville with burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville where the rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., and after 10 a.m. at church on Thursday.
