Bill Majors, 82
Bill Majors, age 82, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 6:35 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born March 15, 1930 in Boonville, Indiana to Otho and Mildred (Polk) Majors. Bill married Jean Stanton on December 13, 1954 in Shawneetown, Illinois. He was a truck driver for the Huntingburg Furniture Company, Dolly Madison Industries and Office Furniture Styline; and was also a retired auctioneer for Majors Auction Company.
Bill was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church; 50 year member of the Dubois County Masonic Lodge #520 F&AM; Scottish Rite; 50 year member of the Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville where he was a founding member of the Shrine’s Dubois County Motor Patrol; the Eastern Star; Holland American Legion; Huntingburg V.F.W. Post #2366; and served as a Sergeant in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Jean Majors, who died March 16, 2012; one brother, Jim Majors; and one sister, Pat Majors.
He is survived by:

- Mark Majors – Evansville, IN
and by (5) grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bill Majors will be held at 11 a.m. E.D.T., on Tuesday, November 6, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery (Huntingburg).
Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 and Holland American Legion Memorial Details. Pastor Paula Young Mayberry will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2 – 7 p.m. on Monday. The Dubois County Masonic Lodge #520 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Dubois County Masonic Lodge.
