Betty L. Cooper, 80

Betty L. Cooper, 80, of Jasper, formerly of Oakland City, entered rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community.

She was born on Dec. 12.1934 in Muren, Ind., to Joseph and Viola (Orander) McCandless.

Betty had worked at Potter Brumfield and also several local nursing home in the laundry department. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Cooper.

She is survived by her daughters, Tanya Adkins of Jasper and Darla Davis of Velpen; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Bruce and Beulah Cooper of Oakland City; brothers, Bernard McCandless of Oakland City and B.P. McCandless of Princeton.

Services will be Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 3 p.m. CST at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City with burial in Davis Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services on Saturday at the chapel.
