Betty L. Blessinger, 82

Betty L. Blessinger, 82, of Huntingburg, Indiana passed away at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, January 17 2015, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born at Jasper on October 1, 1932 to Sylvester and Elizabeth (Brames) Vonderheide. She married Leander Blessinger on May 9, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2008.

She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Blessinger of Huntingburg; sisters, Marge Kuebler and husband Jerry of Jasper and Virginia Thacker of Huntingburg; also, several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a homemaker and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

She loved sewing, quilting and bingo.

Funeral services for Betty Blessinger will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service at church.

Memorial contribution may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
