Betty J. Nigg, 82

Betty J. Nigg, age 82 of Jasper, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Tuesday (April 30, 2013) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Betty was born on November 3, 1930 in Jasper, Indiana to August and Helen (Kraft) Gerber. She married Edward Nigg on October 29, 1949 in Jasper, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2012.

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one sister, Dorothy Manley, four brothers, Eugene, Andrew, Wilfred and Hilbert Gerber, and one half-brother, Walter Kraft

Funeral services for Betty Nigg will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (May 3, 2013) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday (May 2, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
