Best Home to host NASCAR driver Joey Gase for special public event
Best Home Furnishings is hosting Joey Gase Day on Tuesday, June 6th at their corporate showroom in Ferdinand.
The meet and greet with the NASCAR driver is open to the public and will begin at 6:00 p.m. and run until 8:00 p.m. EDT. There will be snacks, drinks, games, and giveaways. The official Best Home Furnishings show car will be alongside Gase, who will be signing autographs and available for photographs.
The Best Home Furnishings furniture showroom will also be open to visitors.
Joey Gase drives the #23 Toyota Camry in the premier NASCAR racing circuit, Monster Energy Cup Series, for Best Home Furnishings. He finished as the top rookie driver in this year’s Daytona 500 and will be driving the Best Home Furnishings car in the upcoming Quaker State 400 at the Kentucky Speedway on July 8th, as well as the Bristol night race on August 19th.
In conjuction with the Joey Gase meet and greet, Memorial Hospital of Jasper will be present to spread awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Best Home Furnishings is dedicating the rear TV panel of the car to the nonprofit organization Donate Life, and honoring two individuals close to the Best Home family network that passed away unexpectedly.
Their organs and tissues were used to help scores of other individuals.
“Since Gase’s mother passed away when he was 18, he has dedicated racing to honor his mother’s legacy through Donate Life,” said Brian Lange, president of Best Home Furnishings. “We are excited to use the Best race car as a platform for raising awareness of organ and tissue donations.”
Gase regularly makes appearances at hospitals and donor awareness-related events. In the past year alone, he has advocated for organ, tissue and eye donation at more than 100 events, has been featured as a member of the Donate Life float in the Festival of Roses Parade, been featured on ESPN multiple times and done dozens of stories for local television, radio and newspaper outlets.
“Since the beginning of our involvement with Joey and his racing team, we’ve had a number of people come forward and tell their stories about how they have benefited from organ and tissue donations,” added Lange.
