Bertha M. Hasenour, 95

Bertha M. Hasenour, 95, of St. Anthony, Indiana passed away at 4:02 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Bertha was born in St. Anthony, Indiana on January 23, 1919 to Victor and Catherine (Muth) Drach. She married Clarence J. Hasenour on May 22, 1943 in California. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1999.

Bertha was a homemaker and worked with her husband, Clarence at St. Anthony Mill, which they owned and operated for several years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Anthony Community Center, and the St. Anthony Christian Mothers.

She enjoyed gardening and babysitting for her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Catherine Whitson, and her husband Glen, of Vincennes and Louann Oser, and her husband, Gary, of St. Anthony; two sons, William Hasenour, and his wife, Rebecca, and Steve Hasenour, and his wife, Sharon, both of Ferdinand; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are one sister, Mary Schmitt, five brothers, Ted, Albert, Robert, Andy, and Frank Drach, and three half sisters, Agnes Klem, Rose Haas, and Laura Haas

Funeral services for Bertha M. Hasenour will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16,2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church.
