Berniece Clark, 97, French Lick
Berniece Clark, 97, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2026.
She was born in French Lick, Indiana, on December 6, 1928, to Irven Tilden and Ethel (Qualkinbush) Cox.
Berniece married William Earl Clark on April 30, 1944, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, William Clark, Jr.; daughter, Betty Jo Fair; brothers, Irven Banks, Willard Philip, Billie, Alva, and Coy Cox; and sister, Evelyn Phyllis Rawlings.
Berniece was a member of Beechwood Christian Church, a 74-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and attended Syria Christian Church.
She grew up on the family farm and continued to farm alongside her husband while raising their family.
Berniece enjoyed sewing, needlework, reading and being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Anthony of Columbus, Marsha Wells (David) of French Lick, and Julie Whitaker (Tony) of French Lick; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday, March 13, 2026.
A ceremony by the Order of Eastern Star will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12th, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Ames Chapel Cemetery, c/o Connie Kerby, 2225 N. County Road 575 W, West Baden Springs, IN 47469.
