Bernida M. Bredhold, 83, Ferdinand

Bernida M. Bredhold, 83, of Ferdinand, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born May 17, 1934, in Spencer County to Edward and Caroline (Hoppenjans) Schipp. She was united in marriage to Ferrel Bredhold on May 12, 1960, in Saint Ferdinand Church.

Bernida was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church and it’s St. Ann’s Sodality. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and needlework.

Surviving are her husband, Ferrel Bredhold; two sons, Scott (Marilyn) Bredhold and Glenn (Jane) Bredhold both of Jasper; five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Norbert Schipp and Othmar in infancy; and two sisters Martina Gaesser and Edwina Gogel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
