Bernice G. Rottet, 84, Jasper

Bernice G. Rottet, 84, Jasper, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Linton, Indiana.
She was born in Jasper, Indiana on November 16, 1931, to Leo and Anita (Brelage) Durcholz. She married Leo A. Rottet on October 3, 1954, in Vincennes, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2012.
Bernice had worked at Yaggis Restaurant in Jasper for 18 years. She also had worked at the Jenco Service Station for 13 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their St. Anne’s Society.
She enjoyed going to auctions, reading, spending time with family, making people laugh, and talking about God.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Kluemper and husband Ken of Solsberry, Ind. and Renee Rottet-Aufderheide and her wife Kim of Linton, Ind.; two sons, Tim Blackgrave of Jasper and Kenneth Rottet of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irma Kinder of Jasper and Laverne Sermersheim of Jasper; two brothers, Len Durcholz and wife Sharon of the Villages, Fla. and Jim Durcholz and wife Linda of Evansville.
Preceding her in death beside her husband was daughter, Diane Kluemper; infant daughter Linda Blackgrave, infant son, Terry Blackgrave, and two brothers, Eugene and Ronald Durcholz.
Funeral services for Bernice Rottet will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. The St. Anne’s Society will pray the rosary at 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
