Bernard “Bernie” McNallin, 83

Bernard “Bernie” McNallin, age 83 of Jasper, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Friday (December 14, 2012) at Harrison Terrace Alzheimer’s Facility in Indianapolis, IN.
Bernie was born on September 8, 1929 in Jasper, IN to Matthew and Caroline (Vonderheide) McNallin. He married Mary Ellen Wright on May 26, 1951 in Huntingburg, IN. She preceded him in death on January 17, 1999 after 47 years of marriage.
Bernie worked for Agri-Central Sales in Huntingburg for many years, where he retired. He was also a farmer who raised Galloway cattle.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Huntingburg Eagles, and the Huntingburg Conservation Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horses.

Preceding Bernie is death besides his wife is one son, Joe McNallin
Funeral services for Bernie McNallin will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday (December 17, 2012) at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN., with burial to follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Huntingburg, IN.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday (December 16, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine in support of Dr. Martin Farlow’s Alzheimer Research Program. Please make memorial gifts payable to the “IU Foundation – IUSM”. Please indicate “In memory of Bernie McNallin” and reference “Alzheimer’s research” on your gift.
