Bernadette M. Mundy, 84

Bernadette M. Mundy, 84, of Ferdinand, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Friday, December 26, 2014, at her home.
Bernadette was born November 10, 1930 in Celestine to Henry and Petronella (Hoffman) Humbert.
She married Orville P. Mundy on October 2, 1954 in Celestine. Orville passed away on July 29, 2008.
Bernadette was retired from Vincennes University Jasper Center. She was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Bernadette enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, quilts and collecting angels. She also played the organ at Saint Celestine Church.
Bernadette is survived by five daughters, Rebecca Taylor of Evansville and her companion Ricky Ewton of Dunlap, Tenn., Ruth Sterling and husband Elisha of Washington, Mary Mundy and companion William Robinson of Lynnville, Karen Beckman and husband Mark of St. Anthony, Elaine Mundy of Huntingburg; nine sons, Larry and his wife Kathy, Joseph and wife Tammy, both of Ferdinand, Kevin, Gary and his companion Jayne Hurst, both of St. Anthony, Steve and Mark and wife Linda, both of Birdseye, Thomas and wife Jodi of Huntingburg, Patrick of Mariah Hill and Chris Mundy of Washington; forty one grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Humbert of Celestine; one sister, Dorothy Merter of Celestine; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Mundy of Ferdinand.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Mundy; two brothers, George and Edward Humbert; her twin sister, Henrietta Humbert.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.
