Jasper — The Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, Jasper Chapter, will meet on Friday, November 10, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. EDT at the 93.1 FM House, 218 W. 13th St., across the street from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.
Chapter members will meet to pray Friday Vespers from Week 4 of the Liturgy of the Hours for Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. Song sheets for chanting of the Psalms will be provided. Following Vespers, those attending will be invited to share their reflections on St. Benedict’s view of private ownership, taken from Chapter 33 of the Rule of St. Benedict.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about becoming a Benedictine Oblate and growing in their relationship with God is invited to attend. Benedictine Oblates seek God through living, working, and praying according to the 1,500-year-old Rule of St. Benedict.
