Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a national, voluntary program in the United States, and teaches cattle producers good husbandry techniques and scientific best practices to raise safe, wholesome beef.  The BQA program covers health, stockmanship, marketing, emergency planning, and meat quality across three classes (Cow/Calf, Stocker/Backgrounder, and Feedyard).  BQA certification is required by most commercial meat processing plants and retail sellers to insure quality products for American consumers.
