Beatrice M. Mehringer, 74, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana.

Beatrice was born on January 5, 1940 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Frank and Loretta (Otto) Fleck. She married William Mehringer on June 21, 1962 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

She retired from the Jasper School Corporation after 25 years of service at Fifth Street Elementary School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, and it’s St. Ann’s Society. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, William Mehringer of Jasper; three daughters, Christine Popp and her husband Todd, of Jasper, Kimberly Lubbehusen and husband Don, of Huntingburg, and Vicki Ludwig and her husband Jason, of Evansville; two sons, Glenn Mehringer and his wife Marlene  and Rick Mehringer, both of Jasper; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rosemary Mundy and her husband Sylvester, of Huntingburg, Georgiane Phillips and husband Joe, of Jasper, Becky Schnell and husband Bob, of Celestine, and Patty Capps and her husband Dave, of Montana; one brother, Martin Fleck and his wife Lucy, of Germany.

Preceding her in death was one brother, Alvin Fleck

Funeral services for Beatrice Mehringer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time on Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.
