Beatrice Krodel, 91
Beatrice Krodel, age 91 of Jasper passed away at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday (September 21, 2011) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born in Dubois County March 11, 1920 to George F. and Cordelia (Weisheit) Hautsch. She married Philmore Krodel on October 24, 1939, he preceded her in death on March 28, 1955.
Beatrice retired from the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper where she had worked for 25 years.
She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and WELCA of St. Paul’s Church.

One daughter:
- Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Fuhrman, Loogootee, IN
Two sons:
- Donald Krodel and spouse Carole, Johnsburg, IL
- Larry Krodel and spouse Wanda, Newburgh, IN
10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one step –great granddaughter.
Preceding her in death besides her husband is two grandchildren Simon Fuhrman and Shannon Fuhrman Okesson. Also one brother, Lester Hautsch and two sisters, Loretta Kieffner and Almeda Kieffner.
Funeral services for Beatrice Krodel will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday (September 25, 2011) in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday (September 24, 2011) at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
