Bass stocking planned for this Friday

The Indiana Bass Federation will release about 1,800 largemouth bass into Patoka Lake on Friday.

The bass will range in size from 8 to 10 inches.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has been crucial in the habitat planning and coordination of the fish release with the Indiana Bass Federation. This stocking is part of the Indiana Reservoir Habitat Enhancement Program developed by the Indiana DNR. The goal is to stock bass in Patoka Lake in 2020 to be studied by the Indiana DNR over the next five years.

The public is invited to attend the fish release planned for Friday at noon at the Lick Fork boat ramp on Patoka Lake.
