Barbara J. Hoffman, age 77, passed away at 10:57 a.m. Sunday (January 13, 2013) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born May 6, 1935 in Jasper to Roman and Veronica (Buechlein) Schmidt.
Barbara was a secretary and ticket manager for many years for the Jasper Arts Center, and had previously worked for Northeast Dubois School Corporation. She also did volunteer work at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Blessed Virgin Sodality, Daughters of Isabella , Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center Auxiliary and the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
She enjoyed playing cards, IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts Football Team, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.

Funeral services for Barbara J. Hoffman will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (January 17, 2013) in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Japer.
Friends may call from Noon – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church. Combined rosary will be held at 1:00 p.m. by the D of I’s and the Blessed Virgin Sodality of Holy Family Parish.
