Barbara H. Katterhenry, 68, Huntingburg

Barbara H. Katterhenry, 68, of Huntingburg, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper surrounded by family.

Barb was born on May 19, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Harold and Esther (Bareis) Foster. She married Roger Katterhenry on August 20, 1977, at Zoar United Methodist Church in Holland, Indiana.

She graduated from Highland High School in Highland, Indiana in 1965 and graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Education, in 1973. Barb worked for SIRS for 36 years and loved everyone she worked with. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed spending time with her family, flowers, cooking, hummingbirds and shopping.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Esther Foster.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roger Katterhenry of Huntingburg; one daughter, Katie Katterhenry of Huntingburg; one son, Adam (fiancé, Kelly Mehringer) Katterhenry of Lafayette; one brother-in-law, Edgar (Loretta) Katterhenry of Columbus, Ind.; two sister-in-laws, Mary (Randy) Schuetter of Jasper and Arlene (Dennis) Wagner of St. Anthony; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Barb Katterhenry will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Zoar United Methodist Church in Zoar with burial to follow at Zoar Cemetery.  Pastor Keith Chanley will officiate at the funeral.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST on Sunday and also at the Zoar United Methodist Church one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Zoar United Methodist Women, Zoar Cemetery Association, or your favorite charity.
