Barbara “Bobbie” J. Jones, 89, Huntingburg

Barbara “Bobbie” J. Jones, 89, of Huntingburg, formerly of Dale and Selvin, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on November 29, 2021, at the Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born to Ray and Carrie Ann Rice on November 11, 1932, in Heilman, Indiana.

Bobbie worked at Songer’s IGA, Holiday Foods, and Wayne’s Key Market in Dale then later at the Selvin Market in Selvin. She enjoyed listening to country music, walking and talking with friends, watching wildlife, and just spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Master Sgt. Dallas Neil Jones and a son, Larry Wayne Jones. She was also preceded by four brothers, Donnie, Billy Ray, Tony, and Mike Rice; four sisters, Emma Lou Davis, Betty Jo Doan, Doris Jean Wampler, and Betty Ann Milligan; close family friend, Sandy Robinson and son, Robbie.

She is survived by one brother, Ernie Rice; two sons, Rick (Mel) Jones and Terry “Pic” (Donatta) Jones; two daughters, Cheri Brinkley and Sandy Marshall (Joe); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and close family friends, Blaze Robinson and Shelby Hess; plus nieces and nephews.

Her children say she was the epitome of God’s word. Everyone was always welcome at her house. If you were hungry, you were welcome to what she had. if you were cold, she would give you her coat.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Saturday, December 4th at PEMBERTON-BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME 301 N. Main St. Lynnville, Ind. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. (CST) until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be designated in support of a veterans organization or charity.
