Mrs. Martin believes in chasing her dreams, and she brought that philosophy to her classroom for six years as a seventh-grade English teacher.

“Edge of Extinction-The Ark Plan” is Laura’s first novel—and a dream come true. She is a mom by day and a middle-grade author by night, although she will always be a seventh-grade language arts teacher in her heart. After spending six years teaching the fine art of dream chasing as a teacher, she is enjoying every minute of this lifelong dream of being an author. Her middle grade book, “Glitch”, was shortlisted for a 2022 Indiana Authors Award. When she isn’t writing stories about dinosaurs and underground civilizations, she can be found in the Indianapolis area with her dashing husband, Josh, her four adorable kids and an opinionated bulldog.
