Arthur H. Wibbels, 96

, of St. Anthony, Indiana passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Providence Home and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Arthur was born in St. Anthony, Indiana on October 24, 1917 to Henry and Anna (Benken) Wibbels.

Arthur retired from the Army Corps. of Engineers, where he worked for 36 years.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana.

He enjoyed reading, playing cards, listening to the radio, and to play the stock market.

Authur is survived by his nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are three sisters, Hilda Schnell, Marcella Bromm, and an infant, Maria Wibbles, and three brothers, Herbert, Othmar, and an infant, Aloysius Wibbels.

Funeral services for Arthur H. Wibbels will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday (June 16, 2014) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service time at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper, St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony Cemetery Fund, or to a favorite charity.
