Arthur E. Kixmiller, 90, Winslow

Arthur E. Kixmiller, 90, of Winslow, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Art was born August 23, 1935, to Louis and Emma Kixmiller of Freelandville, Ind.

Art spent three years serving in the United States Army in Alaska. Upon his return, he married his sweetheart, Mary Lou, on November 30, 1957, whom he had met in the first grade in school. Art and Mary Lou settled in Campbelltown and raised their four children. He loved gardening and raising cows.

Art worked for Kimball for over 40 years.

He was a member of the Washington Church of Christ where he led the ‘Young at Heart’ group for many years. Art was known for his deviled eggs that he prepared for every pitch-in.

Art is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Lou Kixmiller; daughter, Jeana (Greg) Garrison; sons, Kerry (Michele) Kixmiller and Kent (Kathy) Kixmiller; grandchildren, Jeremy, Melanie, Drew, Tia, Leif, Kiki, Evan, and Klayton; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Zavier, Vincent, Theo Arthur, Jameson, and Jovi.

Art was preceded in death by his precious ‘daddy’s girl’, Jana Rankin; one grandson, Eric Garrison; his parents; brothers, Roy, Herb, Earl, Harold, Kenny, and Paul Kixmiller; and a sister, Miriam Jerrell.

Services for Art will take place at 1 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 9, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 11 a.m. EDT until service time. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Campbelltown.

The Kixmiller family requests that no flowers be sent and donations be made to the Washington Church of Christ at 311 Hillside Dr., Washington, IN 47501.
