Art Silent Auction Opens June 20 at Dubois County Museum
Art items from the collection of local artist, teacher and Dubois County Art Guild president LaVonne Tisdal will be part of a special Silent Auction to benefit the Dubois County Museum beginning June 20 at the museum. Items will be displayed from June 20 till July 27 for the public to come in and bid on these priceless pieces of art. Final bids will be taken on July 27. The Museum will open from 5:30-8:00 p.m. that day for Cake and Coffee and final bids will be announced.
Included in the show are about 100 pieces of art that were either made by Mrs. Tisdal or she purchased and included in her personal collection. Auction pieces include many glass items, drawings, oil paintings, prints, watercolors, pastel paintings, ceramic pieces, wall hangings, ceramic bowl, glass lamp, and a colored pencil drawing of the Dubois County Courthouse. The auction includes pieces by other artists such as Jerry Baum, Bill Pickle, Kit Miracle, Joe Smith, Julia Sermersheim, P. Granderson, and more.
