Arnold J. Heeke, 76

Arnold J. Heeke, 76, of Celestine, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Arnold was born on March 29, 1938 in Celestine to Urban and Clara (Merter) Heeke.

Arnold retired from Kimball International Laminates in Jasper. He was a member of St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, and a member of the St. Anthony American Legion Post #493. He enjoyed going to Holiday World and walking on the Jasper Riverwalk.

He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Neukam and her husband John of Huntingburg; three grandchildren, Kendall, Kenzie, and Levi Neukam, all of Huntingburg; three sisters, Velma Tuell of Haysville, Diane Mitchell and her husband Lou of Birdseye, and Mary Henson and her husband Mark of Dale; two brothers, Glen Heeke and his wife Brenda of Celestine and Lenny Heeke and his wife Kathy of Jasper.

Preceding him in death was one sister, Minnie Margaret Heeke.

Funeral services for Arnold J. Heeke will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Celestine Catholic Church Cemetery in Celestine.

The Rev. David Darling will officiate. The St. Anthony American Legion Post #493 will conduct military gravesite rights.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
