Ardella L. Hoing, 85
Ardella L. Hoing, age 85, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 8:50 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.
She was born January 11, 1927 in St. Anthony, Indiana to Edward and Anna (Hedinger) Englert. She was united in marriage to Charles F. Hoing, Jr. on May 22, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.
Ardella worked at and retired from the Jasper Chair Company in Jasper; was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles F. Hoing Jr., who died January 1, 1990; two brothers, Melvin Englert and Eugene Englert; and two sisters, Marcella Enlow and a sister who died at birth.
She is survived by:
One daughter and one son-in-law,
- Ruth (Kenneth) Miller – Huntingburg, IN
One son and one daughter-in-law,
- David (Sandy) Hoing – Huntingburg, IN
by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ardella L. Hoing will be held at 10:00 a.m., (E.S.T.), on Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Huntingburg).
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-7:00 p.m., on Sunday. A parish vigil service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Riley Children’s Hospital.
