Ardella J. Kerstiens, 78, Ferdinand

Ardella J. Kerstiens, 78, of Ferdinand, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

Ardella was born July 21, 1941, in Fulda to Paul and Emma (Mehling) Wagner. She married Edgar Kerstiens on August 20, 1960, in Fulda Catholic Church.

Ardella was a lifelong housewife. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and dancing at the VFW with her husband Edgar. Ardella loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar of Ferdinand; three daughters, Kathy (Todd) Russell and Debbie (Alan) Winkler, both of Ferdinand, Tammy (Nate) Hawkins of Jasper; two brothers, Erwin (Jorean) Wagner and Walter Wagner, both of Ferdinand; a daughter in law, Debbie Kerstiens-Buschkoetter of Ferdinand; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ardella was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Kerstiens; brother, Ralph Wagner and a grandson, Jason Kerstiens.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
