Archabbey Library Gallery to host “Reflections on Perspective” exhibit by Owensboro artist Diane Huff

Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery will host an exhibit titled “Reflections and Perspective” by Owensboro, KY, artist Diane Huff from June 1 – July 17, 2026.

Huff describes this collection of work as “an intellectual exploration into reflections, perspective and depth while at the same time opening psychological reflections on reality, imagination, fantasy—where does the real scene exist and the reflection in the mirror begin or end?” The collection includes acrylic paintings, pastels, and charcoal drawings.

Huff designed her home studio with black and white tiles and a wall of mirrors where her daughters could practice dance while she studied their movements reflected in the mirrors against the perspective of the tiled floor. Reflected shadows and light entering through tall windows provide additional complexity to the scene.

Huff is both an artist and educator. She earned both a BFA and MA from Western Kentucky University and has taught in schools, universities, and museums. She has also led workshops throughout the region.

For library hours, call (812) 357-6401 or (800) 987-7311, or visit the Archabbey Library’s website: www.saintmeinrad.edu/library/library-hours/.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Those wishing to view the exhibit may want to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
