April Dawn Thacker, 45, Jasper

April Dawn Thacker, 45, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, after a car accident in Huntingburg, Indiana. Her loss has deeply saddened her family and friends.

April was born on May 23, 1979, to Bill Wiseman and Brenda Furnish.

She was a 1999 graduate of Southridge High School and went on to earn her CNA certificate. She worked for Core Nursing and Rehab Center in Dale and Rescare in Jasper.

April was loved by many and was a friend to many. She had a huge heart and helped anyone and everyone she could. She was a mother to so many and she always saw the best in people. She had a loud, infectious laugh that could light up a room, and knew how to make people smile and laugh.

April’s greatest accomplishments were her three children, whom she loved more than anything. Her favorite thing to do was go swimming and collect tigers and butterflies.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

April is survived by her children, Brenda Sable Blunk, Anakia Marie Blunk, and Johnathan David Hanes; siblings, Douglas Furnish, Micheal Armstrong, A.J. Wiseman, Andrew Wiseman, Ryan Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong, and Sarah Gibson.

Services are 12 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
