Huntingburg Antique Show this weekend

A lot of the fun is haggling over prices and hearing the history of the many items at the Antique Show.

The summer Antique show is this weekend at the Huntingburg Event Center. According to Nick Stevens, Executive Director Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce, all the booths are filled and he is expecting a record attendance.

“The attendance last year was 800 not counting children, I expect it to surpass that this year.” Stevens explained.

Popular items that will be at the show include antique furniture, glass, jewelry, and tools are popular. “Sometimes you don’t even know what you’re looking at, but that’s part of the fun.”

Another exciting aspect of the Antique Show is the bargaining. “You know there’s no set price. That’s what I like to watch.”

The Southridge Choir is handling the concessions and food will be provided by the Overtime.

“This is a good opportunity to use the Event Center and a great event for the community as well,” Stevens said.
