Anthony “Tony” F. Ebert, 94, Ferdinand

Anthony “Tony” F. Ebert, 94, of Ferdinand, passed away, Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

He was born September 24, 1922, in Spencer County to Joseph and Mary (Rahman) Ebert. Anthony married Hilda Denning on April 15, 1947, in St. Meinrad. Hilda preceded him in death on February 19, 2013.

Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed following politics, playing cards and was an avid Colts fans as well as Nascar. 

Anthony is survived by two sons, Glenn Ebert of Indianapolis and Harley Ebert of Edgewater, N.J.; three daughters, Judy Mehling of Ferdinand, Linda (Jon) Ray of Avon, Ind. and Carol (Barry) Conti of Silver Springs, MD; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by four brothers; Robert, Othmar, Edwin and Raymond Ebert in infancy; one son Stanley Ebert and a grandson, Nick Ebert.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and Monday from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
