Annetta P. Friedman, 93, of Jasper, passed away at 3:19 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Brookside Village in Jasper.

She was born at Dubois, Indiana on December 19, 1921 to George and Mary (Seng) Basch.

She married Othmar (Ott) Friedman on May 15, 1941 in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2006.

Annetta was a homemaker who loved to cook and sew. She took great pride in the vegetables she raised and loved tending to her flower garden. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the St. Ann’s Society. Also Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.

She is survived by on daughter, Karen Schulz and husband John of Lafayette; one son, Allen Friedman of Jasper; two grandchildren, Susan Finney and husband Chris and Michael Schulz; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Claire.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are three brothers, Jerry, Victor and Alfred Basch. Seven sisters, Estella Gutzweiler, Elenora Chapman, Cordelia Swails, Veronica Theile, Leona Hochgesansg, Gloria Seger and Ruth Schneider.

Funeral services for Annetta Friedman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Heart to Heart Hospice or to a favorite charity.
