Anna Mae Schmidt, 94

Anna Mae Schmidt, age 94, of Jasper, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Monday, (May 6, 2013), in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana, July 1, 1918, to Edward and Otillia (Hopf) Buehler. She married Bernard Schmidt, October 4, 1938, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper he preceded her in death, March 15, 1995.

Anna Mae was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary to Post # 673 in Jasper and the Original Homemaker Club.

Connie Blevins and her companion Kerry Raines , Oolitie, IN

Two sons,

Gary Schmidt and his wife, Ann, Huntingburg, IN

Larry Schmidt and his wife, Theresa, Jasper, IN

Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Two sisters,

Delores “Jimmie” Mehringer and Betty Heichelbech both Jasper, IN

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sisters, Lenora Knies and Rosalia (Sally) Schitter.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Schmidt will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (May 10, 2013) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at a later date.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
