Anna Mae Reckelhoff, age 80, of St. Anthony, Indiana passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Anna Mae was born in Jasper, Indiana on February 2, 1934 to Edward and Christina (Blessinger) Erny.

She married Edward F. Reckelhoff in 1971 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and their Christian Mothers Sodality.

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, crossword puzzles and playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband, Edward F. Reckelhoff, of Jasper; two sons, Chris Reckelhoff and his wife Patty, of St. Anthony, and Matt Reckelhoff and his wife Laura, of Ferdinand; four stepdaughters, Mae Roshone and her husband Jim, of Pierre, S.D.,  Kathy Meyer and her husband Larry, of Ferdinand, Joan Weyer and her husband Jeff, of Ferdinand, and Mary Voegerl and her husband Gary, of Jasper;  eight stepsons, Rich Reckelhoff and his wife Joanne, of Jasper, Paul Reckelhoff and his wife Laura, of St. Anthony, Clarence Reckelhoff and his wife Sharon, of Jasper, Tom Reckelhoff and his wife Phyllis, of Jasper, Eddie Reckelhoff, of St. Anthony, Donnie Reckelhoff and his wife Pat, of Schnellville, Leon Reckelhoff and his wife Sue, of Jasper, and Allen Reckelhoff and his wife Toni, of Jasper; five grandchildren, 31 stepgrandchildren, 39 Step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Erny, Margaret Eckerle, and her husband Donald, and Betty Reynolds, and her husband Michael, all of Jasper; two brothers, Harold Erny, and his wife, Mildred, and Sylvester Erny, and his wife, Pat, both of Jasper.

Preceding her in death are two sisters, Mary Alice Schuetter and Helen Hochgesang, and three brothers, Vincent J., Robert L., and Richard A. Erny, step great-grandchild Matthew Wood, and one step daughter-in-law, Carolyn Reckelhoff.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Reckelhoff will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church. The Christian Mothers will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Alzheimer’s Association, or to a favorite charity.
