Anna Mae Hautsch, 87, of Jasper, passed away at 11:06 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born in Harbison, Township on November 9, 1926 to Oscar and Anna (Neukam) Breitwieser. She married Lester Hautsch on June 24, 1947 at Emmanuel Hill Lutheran Church at Dubois, Indiana, he preceded her in death on August 7, 1964.

Anna Mae was a homemaker and also had worked for the former Jasper Wood Products and the Jasper Corporation. She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville and the Women’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Association. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and quilting.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Breitweiser of Jasper and Marlene Eck and husband Gary of Otwell; two sons, Dennis Hautsch and wife Dorothy and Steve Hautsch and wife Bobbi, both of Jasper; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aleda Tucker of Chesapeake, Va., and Elta Borman of Boonville.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son Roger Hautsch; two brothers, Robert and Ralph Breitwieser; three sisters, Vera Rein, Pauline Eichmiller and Melba Baker.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Hautsch will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday,  October 17, 2014, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service time at church.

Memorials contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
