Ann Moffett, 78, Santa Claus

Ann Moffett, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at her home in Santa Claus, Indiana.

Ann was a talented decorator and arranger who had a special gift for making things beautiful. She found great joy in creating and bringing her many ideas to life. She was also an excellent cook and loved entertaining family and friends.

Ann’s greatest joy was her faith in God. Recently, she obtained her ministry license and was a devoted servant of the Lord, spending many years working with and for the church. Her faith was an important part of who she was and brought her great comfort and purpose throughout her life.

Ann also found great happiness in spending time with her family and friends. She was an animal lover, especially of Chinese Crested dogs. She cared for many of them over the years, and they brought her an enormous amount of love and happiness.

Ann will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity and crafting talents, her generous heart, and the love she showed to everyone around her. Her love and kindness leave a lasting mark on everyone who was blessed to know her.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy and Michelle Brown, and Tony Brown; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Andy; six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Robert K., Betty and Grant Bradley, Eddie and Sandy, Tommy, Denise Emmons and Randy Boehm, Frank, and David and Connie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her youngest son, Andy; her grandson, Josh; and her parents, Robert and Hilda Moffett.

Ann’s wishes were to be cremated, and her family will honor those wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she shared with all who loved her.  Rainey Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
