Anita Rose Ayer-Reyes, 63, Ft. Branch

Anita Rose Ayer-Reyes, 63, of Ft. Branch, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

She was born on January 12, 1962, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Her parents were Catherine and Charles Farmer.

Her dad was her rock. Anita was very compassionate, kind, and generous, showing everyone unconditional love no matter what. She loved with her whole heart, which made her feisty through trials and tribulations. She had a love for God. 

She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs football team fan, especially of Patrick Mahomes. 

Anita was an animal lover, liked to travel, and enjoyed being pampered and taken care of by others.     

Anita is survived by the love of her life of 17 years, Loren Newkirk of Ft. Branch; her children, Amanda Ayer of Evansville and Ashley Yorke (Griffin) of Henderson, Ky.; stepchildren, Krystalyn Williams (Clay) of Newburgh and Collin Newkirk of Ft. Branch; grandchildren, Delaney Lorraine Hardin and Grayson Yorke; step-grandchildren, Spencer Harlen, Alice Williams, and Reagan Newkirk; niece, Sarah Gamble; nephews, C.R. Hoke and Taylor Hoke; sister-in-law, Lisa Newkirk; niece-in-law, Jamie Newkirk; aunt-in-law, Sherry Mosher; mother-in-law, Donna Williams; best friends, Bobbi Fromme (John), Janice Montes-Flores,  Caroline (Jim) Newkirk, Dan and Dawn Harrison, Narissa and Kassandra Montes, Alberto Reyes, Lexi Flores, and many other friends and family that meant a lot to her; and her beloved animal companions, Charlotte and Charlie.  

Anita was preceded in death by her parents.  

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, followed by interment at the Meade Cemetery in Francisco, Ind. Visitation will be from 12 until the service time on Monday at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colvin Funeral Home in honor of the Ayer-Reyes family.
