Anita Gunselman, 99

Anita Gunselman, age 99, of Huntingburg, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2013, at the Newburgh Healthcare Center in Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born August 14, 1914 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Joseph and Mary (Bredhold) Schmidt. She was united in marriage to Clements Gunselman on October 1, 1935 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Mrs. Gunselman was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clements Gunselman, who passed away on April 12, 2002; and Anita was the last surviving sibling in her family.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Beth Hassfurther of Martinsville, Ind., and Bonnie (William) Eble of Newburgh; three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Lee Gunselman of Newburgh, Jim (Lindy) Gunselman of Jasper, and Rick (Malia) Gunselman of Wadsworth, Ohio; by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Anita Gunselman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery (Huntingburg).

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-7:00 p.m., on Sunday. A parish vigil prayer service will be held at 2:45 p.m., Sunday afternoon, at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared with the family on-line at www.nassandson.com.
