Angela “Angie” M. Kippenbrock, 60, Evansville

Angela “Angie” M. Kippenbrock, 60, Evansville, passed away at home on June 15, 2017, surrounded by family.
Angie was born on March 4, 1957, in Jasper. She was the third child of Adam J. and Virginia R. (Berry) Bishop.
Angie was a devoted Catholic Christian and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Throughout her career from Customer Service at Kimball International in Jasper in the 1980s, Medical Transcriptionist at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis in the 1990s to most recently being a team member of the Primary Source Team at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Evansville, she was always known by co-workers as a dedicated and hardworking team member that was looked to as someone to get things done.
While Angie enjoyed reading and had a number of hobbies, her life centered on her faith in the Lord and being of service to others. For a number of years until very recently she had been a Lecturer and Eucharistic Minister at the parishes where she worshiped. While living in Indianapolis from 1988 to 2002 she was active with the Central Indiana Cursillo Community serving on a number of teams including one as Coordinator and a term as Pre-Cursillo on the Secretariat, member of CHRP teams and Small Faith Communities at St. Monica Parish. At St. John’s Evangelist Parish-Daylight she is a member and past officer of the CDA — Catholic Daughters of America Court and an active supporter of the Adoration Chapel. At St. Mary’s Hospital Angie was active with the Prayer Shawl and NODA — No One Dies Alone Ministries.
In recent years Angie has been blessed taking great pride and receiving tremendous joy in being Kinsley’s grandmother, a role she greatly cherished.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Jessica Rachael, as an infant; parents, Adam and Virginia Bishop; brother, Tony; father-in-law, Hubert Kippenbrock; and sister-in-law, Janice Jurisich.
Angie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, John; sons Neil and Jacob, both of Evansville; granddaughter, Kinsley; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Steve Schuler of Eugene, Oregon; brother, Bill “Bub” Bishop of Eugene, Oregon; nieces, Kim Cameron and husband Joe and Christa Carter and husband Josh of Oregon; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Kippenbrock of Jasper; sisters-in-law Connie Deck and husband Bob of Roswell, Georgia, Judy Seger and husband Mark of St. Henry, Linda Betz and husband Stan and Janet Rydberg and husband Bryan of Jasper; brothers-in-law, Rick Kippenbrock and wife Marian and Mike Kippenbrock of Ferdinand; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Angie and her family expresses gratitude for all the compassionate care Angie received from Dr. Sheryl Ziegler and her team at Hematology and Oncology Associates, Sonja, Case Manager Nurse and the rest of the team at Heritage Hospice and all other doctors and medical personnel providing Angie care during her journey.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10 a.m. CDT on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at St. John Evangelist Parish-Daylight, with Rev. Chris Forler officiating. Entombment will be at a later date at St. Ferdinand Parish cemetery, Ferdinand.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. CDT at St. John Evangelist Parish-Daylight on Friday, June 23, 2107, and from 9 a.m. until service on Saturday.
The family requests that friends consider donations to the Tri-State Food Bank, Ronald McDonald Charities of SW Indiana or Riley Children’s Hospital rather than sending flowers.
