Andrew Wellmeyer, Jr., 64

Andrew Wellmeyer, Jr., 64, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 6:58 p.m., on Saturday, December 27, 2014, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born September 4, 1950 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Andrew Sr. and Selma Catherine (Voelkel) Wellmeyer.

Andrew graduated from Purdue University with a degree in animal science. He was an assistant manager at Walmart for over thirty years; was active with the Dubois County 4-H Council and Rural Youth; and enjoyed watching sporting events — especially when Purdue was playing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Wellmeyer, Sr., who passed away December 1, 2001.

He is survived by his mother, Selma Wellmeyer of Huntingburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Ted (Cynthia) Wellmeyer of Cave Creek, Ariz.; one sister and brother-in-law, Jill (Brian) Powers of Noblesville; two nieces and one nephew, Molly Powers of Charleston, S.C., Jessica Faragalli of Seattle, Wa., and Adam Wellmeyer of Phoenix, Ariz.

Memorial services for Andrew Wellmeyer, Jr. will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  Pastor Lee Campbell will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, the day of the service.
