Andrew “Andy” Albertson, 88, Jasper, passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, at the Waters of Huntingburg.

Andy was born in Boswell, Ind., to Andrew Sr. and Florence (Sturgeon) Albertson He married Colleen Mounce on December 12, 1945 in Kentland. She preceded him in death on December 26, 1998.

Andy was part owner and operator of Ireland Feed and Grain and A&J Feed Service. He was U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War and was a member of the Loogootee American Legion Post #120 and the Mitchell VFW Post #9107. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper and Jasper Outdoor Recreation.
He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards and taking early morning walks.

He is survived by daughter, Terry Fitch and husband Toby of Cannelburg; two sons, Mike Albertson of Loogootee and Bob Albertson of Jasper; four grandchildren, Carrie Albertson, Brooke Albertson, Kelly Ash and Bryce Fitch, two great-grandchildren, Trey Baker and Teagan Ash; two sisters, Pat Hainje of Lafayette and Margaret Dewinger and husband Don of Lafayette; one brother, Darrel Albertson and wife Mary of Wichita Falls, Texas; 14 half-brothers and -sisters.

Preceding him in death beside his wife were three brothers; Carol, Bill and Frank Albertson.

Funeral services for Andy Albertson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN. Pastor Cindy Lagle will officiate. The Loogootee American Legion Post #120 will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society or to a favorite local charity.
