Andrea L. Phillips, 43, Jasper (updated)
Andrea L. Phillips, 43, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, following a brief but courageous battle with leukemia.

Born on December 3, 1981, in Jasper, Indiana, Andrea was the beloved daughter of David and Tama (Rohleder) Werner.
She graduated from Jasper High School and went on to attend cosmetology school in Evansville, Indiana. Andrea worked briefly in cosmetology before devoting herself fully to raising her family.
On August 2, 2004, Andrea married her high school sweetheart, Toby R. Phillips, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. After Toby joined the military in 2002, the couple spent 24 years moving across the United States and Europe in service to his career, most recently being stationed at Fort Drum in 2024.
Andrea was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She found immense joy in caring for her family and spending time with her two children, Madelynn R. and Maximus R. Phillips. She had a love for the ocean and cherished days spent at the beach. Her dogs, Louie and Charlie, held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband, Toby; their two children, Madelynn and Maximus, all of Fort Drum, NY; her mother, Tama Werner of Jasper; maternal grandmother, Linda Rohleder of Jasper; brothers, Wesley Werner and Noah Werner, both of Jasper; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Pam and Bob Padgett of Washington, Ind.; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lora and Marty Phillippe of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her father, David
Arrangements are entrusted to Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.
A mass of Christian burial for Andrea Phillips will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Thursday.
